Extra Thursday session at Cootham Sewage Works

It is that time of year again to clear Himalayan Balsam from watercourses in the area.

Today’s site is North of Cootham Woods, just below the Sewage Works. It is heavily vegitated with nettles and brambles, so we recommend long trousers and long sleeve shirts. The area is on a slight slope next to the side of the stream, so we also recommend sturdy shoes or wellies, but it is in shade.

Meeting place is at the west end of the footpath on the north side of the Hurston Lane field where it goes into the woods and joins the footpath from Cootham Park.
